Singapore, 13 February 2026 – ONERHT Foundation Ltd (“Foundation”) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on 23 January 2026 with Yayasan Global Insan Cita (“GICF”), a registered charitable foundation in Indonesia, to deliver a clean water initiative in West Sumatra under the Foundation’s ASEAN+ Outreach Programme.
Under this initiative, the Foundation has committed a cash grant of up to IDR 157,500,000 to support the purchase, transportation, installation and operation of a water filtration system.
The water filtration system will be installed at Kampung Sikumbang, Jorong Subarang Aia, West Sumatra, Indonesia, an area severely affected by recent floods, and is expected to benefit approximately 4,150 people across four villages namely Jorong Subarang Aia, Jorong Koto Alam, Jorong Tangah Timur and Jorong Tangah Barat.
Reliable access to safe drinking water is fundamental to restoring basic health and stability in flood-affected communities, particularly for children. The availability of clean water will provide timely support to families in their daily living during Ramadan. The Foundation is honoured to be part of this timely and meaningful effort.
Beyond Singapore, the Foundation’s ASEAN+ Outreach Programme supports targeted initiatives across the region, including bridge construction and earthquake relief in Indonesia and school upgrades in Vietnam. Through various initiatives including this latest water filtration system project, the Foundation reflects its commitment to strengthening resilience and supporting sustainable livelihoods across underserved communities in ASEAN.
Set up in 2015, the Foundation is the CSR arm of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than S$6 million to support at least 40 beneficiaries involved in education, environmental protection and sustainability, disadvantaged groups as well as the arts and sports.
