Our Endeavours to Arts and Sports

Our Endeavours to Arts

The arts encapsulates the soul of our heritage. It allows bridges to be built between cultures and promotes a vibrant social community. The Foundation is proud to support National Gallery Singapore (NGS) as one of our beneficiaries.

The Foundation was conferred the prestigious Patron of the Arts Award in July 2019 in recognition of its contributions towards NGS.

Arts Programmes and Initiatives

ARHTPHIL

ARHTPHIL is a project initiated by RHTLaw to unite Art and Philanthropy into a cohesive, compelling and credible proposition.

ARHTPHIL will benefit the following stakeholders:

Insurers

Banks

Public

Collectors

Museums

In summary, ARHTPHIL will facilitate more collectors to monetise their art and, as a result, more of such works to be exhibited for public enjoyment.

ARHTPHIL will achieve this by encouraging banks to custodise art received as collateral with a museum instead of locking it up in a vault. This means that museums will act as custodians. RHTLaw is engaging insurers to provide innovative risk management solutions to enhance the banks’ collateral and to mitigate risks.

An Evening of Art Appreciation and Cocktails – Wu Guanzhong: Expressions of Pen & Palette

An exclusive tour of Wu Guanzhong: Expressions of Pen & Palette initiated between RHTLaw Asia and National Gallery of Singapore, this exhibition commemorates the centennial year of the artist’s birth in 2019, and explores the relationship between his artistic creations and literary writing by bringing together major works from Singapore’s National Collection and a key Southeast Asian private collection.

Jaafar Latiff – Beyond The Familiar

Jaafar Latiff: Beyond the Familiar, supported by ONERHT Foundation, was featured in The Straits Times as one of the highlights of Singapore Art Week 2020. The exhibition features 26 works from the artist’s estate spanning over 40 years of his career.

Our Endeavours to Sports

The Foundation is proud to be the Gold Flight Sponsor for the Singapore Golf Association’s Fundraiser 2019 and Fundraiser 2020.

In addition, RHTLaw Asia LLP is currently the honorary legal counsel of the Singapore Golf Association.

In October 2018, the Foundation made a donation in support of the publication of the Singapore Senior Golfers Society’s 50th Anniversary magazine.

Sports Programmes and Initiatives

Through its annual charity golf events from 2015 to 2019, the Foundation has helped raised awareness of golf as a recreation and sport amongst the corporate community.
