The Alzheimer’s Disease Association – ADA Caregivers’ Appreciation Gala Luncheon was held at Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa, in recognition of the caregivers’ dedication and hard work. The event was jointly organised by ADA and 4th year law undergraduates from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The Foundation was a sponsor for the event and we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADA at the event for the collaboration on the Foundation’s Ageing RigHT Project. The Project aims to develop a comprehensive and integrated system of care and support as well as an age-friendly environment for the elderly in the community.
RHTLaw was featured in articles published by The Straits Times, The New Paper, Lianhe Zaobao and The Jakarta Post in relation to hosting its fourth annual ASEAN summit with sustainability as its theme.
The articles highlighted the climate action pledging held at the start of the ASEAN summit which was attended by 200 people, including business leaders, industry experts and professionals and ambassadors from ASEAN nations.
More than 303,000 people and groups signed the climate action pledge to reduce carbon footprint and promised to work towards goals such as making a commitment to recycle, using energy efficient devices and conserving water.
Guest-of-honour, Dr Amy Khor, highlighted three key sustainability trends, namely, the move towards a low carbon future, the growing call for sustainable production and consumption and the growing traction of green finance globally and regionally.
The commissioning of the RHT Rajan Menon Foundation’s GAIL (Greening ASEAN: Initiatives and Leadership) initiative was also highlighted in The Jakarta Post article. GAIL aims to encourage more organizations to embed sustainability into their operating models.
RHT Rajan Menon Foundation (“Foundation”) is proud to announce the official launch of its eldercare guidebook, “As You Are, Now” by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Teck Ghee National Day Celebration 2018 held in Ang Mo Kio on Saturday, 11 August 2018. The Foundation’s Chairman Tan Chong Huat was onstage to present the guidebook to the Prime Minister at the event. Also joining them onstage was Bernard Tay, a Director of the Foundation and Chairman of the Singapore Road Safety Council.
The guidebook, written by a team of dedicated professionals and published especially for the elderly and their caregivers in four national languages, is an initiative under the Successful Ageing Project spearheaded by the Foundation. Through the publication of the guidebook, the Foundation seeks to educate the elderly on issues they ought to be aware of as they enter their golden years. Topics such as personal welfare management, family law issues, financial wealth management, basic first aid, dementia, home safety and road safety issues have been carefully chosen and written to address the challenges that ageing can, and will, bring.
We would like to thank Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, our Supporting Partners and Official Sponsors, our Foundation’s Patron and Board of Directors, lawyers and staff of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, management and staff of RHT Group of Companies, and last but not least the team of dedicated individuals who have volunteered their time and expertise to write the guidebook, for all your kind support!
Thank you for changing lives.
