ONERHT Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Joel Tan, better known as Gentle Bones, as Adviser to the Foundation’s Arts Programme, with effect from 1 September 2026.
One of Singapore’s prominent singer-songwriters, Joel has established himself in Singapore and across the region through his music and creative work. As Gentle Bones, he was the first Singaporean music act to sign with Universal Music Group and has performed to audiences in Singapore and internationally. In 2023, he signed with Warner Music Regional.
In 2022, Yung Lee Records, a homegrown record label founded by Joel, who he also serves as its Head of Artists & Repertoire (A&R), collaborated with ONERHT Foundation on a charity concert at Marina Bay Sands, bringing together music and philanthropy in support of charitable causes. The label is focused on developing Singapore and Southeast Asian music and talent.
In his new advisory role, Joel will bring his experience, creative perspectives and understanding of the arts to support the development of the Foundation’s Arts Programme and explore new ways of harnessing the arts to engage and contribute to the community.
