Singapore, 28 January 2026 – ONERHT Foundation has appointed Mr Tan Chong Huat as its Emeritus Chairman, in recognition of his long-standing leadership and significant contributions to the Foundation over the past decade. Chong Huat is currently also the Senior Partner and Chairman of RHTLaw Asia LLP as well as Executive Chairman of RHT Group of Companies.
ONERHT Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies(collectively, “ONERHT”), advances charitable initiatives and community engagement aligned with ONERHT’s values.
Chong Huat is one of the key founders of the Foundation. Since its early years, Chong Huat has played a key role in shaping the Foundation’s strategic direction and has been closely involved in the development and implementation of its charitable programmes and fundraising efforts. Chong Huat was passionate and instrumental in establishing the 4 causes which the Foundation champions, namely in education, environmental sustainability, disadvantaged communities, and the arts and sports. In addition, with Chong Huat’s guidance, the Foundation has extended its efforts in ASEAN including disaster relief efforts, education projects and promotion of sports.
Chong Huat served as Chairman of ONERHT Foundation from 2015 to 2022, during which he provided leadership and strategic oversight as the Foundation strengthened its programmes, partnerships, and governance framework. Chong Huat was succeeded by the Foundation’s current Chairman, Ms Kaylee Kwok when he stepped down from the role in 2022. He continues to be actively engaged in the Foundation’s charitable and fundraising activities, offering guidance and support drawn from his experience and long-term commitment. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than S$6 million to support more than 40 beneficiaries.
